What are your policies on alcohol? Smoking?

Alcohol and smoking are not permitted in the Markle Residence.

How much does it cost to live at The Markle?

Your room fee, which includes meals and other amenities, will range from $1,430 to $1,995 per month per person.

When can I check in / check out?

Check in is after 3:00 p.m.

The Front Desk is staffed 24 hours a day so those arriving on late flights can still check in to the Residence after hours.

Check out is by 10:00 a.m.

Can I have items sent ahead before my stay?

No packages may be delivered to the Residence before a Resident arrives/checks-in.

What is included in my room?

Each room is fully furnished with a regular twin bed, desk, chair, dresser and lamp, including a shower curtain for the bathroom. No additional furniture may be brought into the facility.

Residents need to furnish their own towels, sheets, blankets, pillows, toilet paper, trash can, hair dryers, hangers, iron, and refrigerator (no larger than 1.7 cubic feet). Refrigerators may be rented, if available, from the Residence for a flat fee of $70.00 per stay and a Resident Starter Set (complete with a sheet set, blanket, pillow, towel and washcloth) can be purchased for $70.00 upon arrival at the Front Desk. Air conditioners may be used for a fee of $5.00 per day.

Can I cook in my room?

No microwaves or hot plates are permitted. Other prohibited items include rice cookers, crock pots and blenders.

There is 24/7 access to a microwave in the lobby café.

What measures does The Markle take to keep its residents Safe?

The Markle Front Desk staff is on-hand 24/7 to buzz residents into the building. Before heading up to their room, residents are asked to show identification. Guests are also required to check in at the front desk.

Are there laundry facilities available?

The laundry room is located on the 4th floor and requires a card which must be purchased for $5.00 each. Funds can be added to the card as residents need them. The cost to wash is $1.50 for a regular load and $1.50 for 60 minutes of drying time.

When can I get a meal?

Professionally prepared meals are available 7 days a week with two per day included in your monthly room fees.

The Dining Room hours for Monday – Friday are:
Breakfast: 6:30 a.m. (Continental) then 7:00 – 9:00 a.m. (Hot)
Lunch: 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Dinner: 5:00 – 7:30 p.m.

Hours for Saturdays, Sundays and select Holidays are:
Breakfast: 8:00 – 10:00 a.m.
Lunch: Noon – 2:00 p.m.

When are Office hours?

Office Hours of Operation are Monday through Friday 9AM-5PM.

Are the bathrooms communal?

No. Each room includes a private bathroom.

Are utilities included in the price of rent?

Yes. Your monthly room fees include two professionally prepared meals per day as well as utilities, wireless internet and access to our exercise room. Air conditioning is included in double and triple rooms, and is available for an additional fee in single rooms.

Do you have guest rooms so my parents or family can come to visit me in New York City?

Yes, we have a limited number of guest rooms that can be rented to family members for a short stay. Please contact us for more details.
